For this special occasion, iDzia was entrusted with the technical design and implementation of both the sound and lighting, enhancing the venue while respecting its authentic character. Our team developed a lighting concept tailored to the château’s unique architecture, highlighting spaces such as the majestic Hay Barn and the more intimate Stables. 📍Les Collatéraux, Arles ▪️ iDzia Installation: Audiovisual Sound and Lighting As part of the Rencontres de la Photographie 2024 in Arles, iDzia had the privilege of contributing to the "Métamorphose(s)" exhibition, organized by Publicis Luxe at the Collatéraux, a unique and emblematic venue in the city. From July 3 to 12, 2024, this exhibition gathered a curious and passionate audience drawn to a rich artistic program exploring the theme of transformation in all its forms. Works from renowned artists such as Bill Viola, Antony Cairns, Stephen Gill, NSDOS, and Elisabeth Tonnard were displayed, each questioning the notion of metamorphosis through various media and a distinctly contemporary approach. To support this high-level event, iDzia provided the complete audiovisual installation: sound, lighting, and video. The goal was clear: to create an immersive, sensory experience capable of fully revealing the depth of the works while respecting the unique architectural qualities of the venue. In close collaboration with the exhibition curators, our team designed a tailor-made technical setup, adapted to each space and artwork. The lighting was particularly designed to complement the themes of the works while subtly guiding the visitor's path. The video installation "Reflecting Pools" by Bill Viola, the centerpiece of the exhibition, received special attention. 📍Julien Creuzet “Attila Cataracte” – Caen/Cherbourg ▪️ iDzia Installation: Lighting and Sound From March 21 to June 21, 2025, the École Supérieure des Arts et Médias (ÉSAM) Caen-Cherbourg is hosting “Attila Cataracte” , an immersive installation by artist Julien Creuzet. Reimagined since its presentation at the 60th Venice Biennale, the exhibition merges sculpture, video, music, and poetry. Through this sensory experience, Creuzet explores themes such as creolization, diaspora, and decolonization. Visitors are invited into a fluid, symbolic universe where sound and imagery build a shared cultural and emotional space. To enhance the immersive nature of this work, iDzia was entrusted with designing and installing the lighting and sound environment within the ÉSAM auditorium. Building on our previous collaboration with Julien Creuzet during the Venice Biennale—where we managed the audiovisual setup for the French Pavilion—we were proud to contribute our expertise to this new artistic project. Our technical team developed a bespoke lighting and sound system tailored to both the visual language of the artist and the architectural constraints of the auditorium. 📍Cargo de Nuit, Arles ▪️ iDzia Installation: Structure and Lighting Cargo de Nuit is a true cultural institution in Arles and a landmark venue in southern France. For over 25 years, it has been offering a rich and eclectic lineup of contemporary music. From rock, folk, pop, hip-hop, jazz, soul, funk, and electronic music to stand-up comedy, the venue presents a wide range of performances between October and June in an intimate 350-seat configuration. Renowned for the quality of its programming and the closeness it fosters between artists and audience, Cargo de Nuit is a vibrant and welcoming space with a uniquely engaging atmosphere. Beyond its concert programming, Cargo de Nuit plays an active cultural role in the community, hosting local band rehearsals, associative projects, and exhibitions. This commitment strengthens its deep roots in the artistic scene of Arles. In 2004, to celebrate its 10th anniversary, the venue launched the “Escales du Cargo” festival—an open-air version held each July at the spectacular Théâtre Antique of Arles. This summer event brings together renowned French and international artists, many of whom we regularly collaborate with. In this rich and demanding context, iDzia had the privilege of working with Cargo de Nuit to install structural and lighting systems tailored to its unique environment. Our work focused on creating a lighting design and technical setup that would enhance the stage while respecting the intimate nature of the venue. We installed professional lighting grids and stage lights designed to adapt seamlessly to the dynamic requirements of a live music venue. Lighting a space like Cargo de Nuit requires a precise and thoughtful approach. Each light source must support the artist’s performance without overwhelming the space—highlighting emotion without disrupting the acoustics. 📍 Hôtel Quiqueran, auditorium Arles ▪️  Installation iDzia : Le son et l'audiovisuel The Hôtel Quiqueran de Beaujeu is a remarkable example of Arles’ historical heritage, reflecting an era when nobility and the upper class shaped the city through the construction of elegant private mansions. This emblematic building once hosted the École Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie (ENSP), the only public institution in France entirely dedicated to photography. Situated in a city known for its deep artistic and cultural roots, this space holds a unique place in the creative landscape of southern France. Arles is a city where iDzia has already carried out several ambitious projects, and it is always with great pride that we return to contribute to its ongoing artistic evolution. Within this meaningful and historically rich setting, iDzia was invited to take part in the technological outfitting of the ENSP auditorium. This multi-purpose room, used for screenings, lectures, conferences, and student presentations, required a high-performance audiovisual system that could meet both educational and artistic standards. We designed and implemented a complete setup combining sound and video projection. Our approach was to create an immersive and user-friendly environment, while fully preserving the character of the space. Every element, from speaker placement to screen integration, was designed with discretion and functionality in mind. Sound calibration was carefully adapted to the acoustics of the auditorium, and the control interface was customized for intuitive daily use by staff and students. This intervention comes at a transformative time for the Hôtel Quiqueran de Beaujeu. Beginning in the 2024 academic year, the building will host a new creative hub and technological incubator. This initiative will bring together educational programs, emerging artists, and innovative structures in a shared space, dedicated to culture, experimentation, and artistic entrepreneurship. The project marks a major step forward for the city of Arles, combining heritage and forward-thinking vision to foster new forms of expression. On June 8, Place Morgan was transformed into a spectacular open-air stage, offering the public an exceptional evening of entertainment. This free event drew large crowds from across the region, eager to enjoy a vibrant and eclectic program blending music, performance, and celebration. In this dynamic setting, iDzia was entrusted with a crucial mission: to provide full technical production, including professional sound and lighting installation. Our technical team arrived early in the morning to begin setting up the equipment. A robust and finely tuned sound system was installed to guarantee clear, powerful, and consistent audio coverage throughout the entire space. Working outdoors presents numerous acoustic challenges—open areas, ambient noise, and unpredictable weather conditions such as wind. 📍 Open Day, MUCEM Marseille ▪️   iDzia Installation: Sound and Lighting The Mucem, the Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilizations in Marseille, inaugurated its new exhibition "Amazighes – Cycles, Adornments, Motifs" on April 30, 2025. This exhibition highlights the cultural, spiritual, and artistic richness of Amazigh peoples through more than 150 works and objects drawn from museum collections, contemporary artists’ studios, and rare heritage pieces spanning from the 19th century to today. By exploring themes such as life cycles, symbolic adornments, rituals, protective symbols, and nature-inspired motifs, the exhibition offers an in-depth look at how the Amazigh express their relationship with the world through ornamentation, gesture, and transmission. This major project was conceived by the Mucem in collaboration with the Fondation Jardin Majorelle, with curatorship by architect and anthropologist Salima Naji and Mucem curator Alexis Sornin. To celebrate the launch, the Mucem held an open house event on April 30 starting at 4 p.m., inviting the public to enjoy free, early access to the exhibition. Visitors were able to explore the unique atmosphere of this ambitious artistic and ethnographic presentation, experiencing firsthand the depth and diversity of Amazigh heritage. To extend this moment of cultural discovery, the Mucem organized a special sunset concert on the J4 esplanade featuring Moroccan singer Oum. Known for her captivating voice and her ability to blend traditional Maghreb sounds with jazz, soul, and electronic music, Oum embodies a modernity deeply rooted in Amazigh heritage. The free concert, open to all, provided an unforgettable experience, where music, golden evening light, and shared emotion came together in a striking Mediterranean setting.
