Installing a Sound System in a Place of Worship

Lies at the base of the Cévennes, near Quissac, we installed a complete sound system in the Chapel of Pise. Designed to adapt to the venue’s acoustics, this solution blends discreetly into the architecture while ensuring high-quality sound reproduction.

A Temple in the Heart of the Garrigue

The Chapel of Pise is not an ancient monument in the strict sense, but a Protestant church built in the 1990s. Nestled between the garrigue and vineyards, this building, with its Italian-inspired arcades, is open to the public only during worship services, concerts, and other events. As a result, this quiet space offers an acoustic environment that is as unique as it is demanding for any sound installation.

A sound system tailored to the building’s unique characteristics

To meet the site’s specific needs, iDzia deployed a comprehensive sound system featuring top-of-the-line equipment:

• Fohhn: speakers that deliver discreet, even, and intelligible sound.

• Yamaha Pro Audio: an audio processor that ensures reliable processing and control of the entire system.

• Shure: microphones that deliver clear, natural, and precise voice reproduction.

  
  

This combination ensures even distribution of vocals and music, while preserving the intimacy characteristic of a place of worship. Centralized control ensures simple and reliable system management during services, concerts, or hosted events, while Shure microphones guarantee natural reproduction of every voice. The entire system was designed to remain discreet within a minimalist interior, while offering optimal listening comfort regardless of where listeners are seated in the building.
