Résonance Festival in Avignon: Four Days of Music, One Unified Technical Approach

From 17 to 20 September 2026, Résonance Festival brought four days of electronic music, contemporary creativity and heritage to some of Avignon’s most emblematic venues. From the gardens of Villa Créative to the Collection Lambert and the Palais des Papes, this edition offered a variety of musical atmospheres and event configurations while maintaining a strong artistic identity.

For iDzia, supporting a festival across several dates means much more than installing equipment for each individual event. It means understanding the project as a whole, anticipating the requirements of each venue and ensuring technical continuity throughout the festival.

Four Days, Four Musical Experiences

On Thursday, 17 September, the festival opened in the gardens of Villa Créative with Ams and Solere. An open-air evening at the crossroads of club culture and melodic techno.

On Friday, 18 September, the festival moved to the Collection Lambert for a meeting between Marseille-based trio Troublemakers and David Walters. In the courtyard of this contemporary art centre, electronic music and Afro-Caribbean influences came together in a remarkable architectural setting.

On Saturday, 19 September, the festival took over the Jeanne Laurent room at the Palais des Papes. Amour Propre, Lilya Mandre and Cami G set the pace for an evening dedicated to house music.

Finally, on Sunday, 20 September, Résonance extended the experience onto the terrace of the Jeanne Laurent space, with Theaz, Kanny White, Black Noché and the Résonance Crew. Eight hours of music, panoramic views over Avignon and a more relaxed atmosphere combining house music, heritage and conviviality.

Four events, several venues and different formats: this diversity is at the heart of the festival’s appeal, but it also calls for careful technical planning and coordination.

One Technical Partner, One Overall Vision

For an event producer, working with a single technical provider across an entire festival offers a significant organisational advantage. Rather than treating each date as a separate production, iDzia approaches the project as a whole. This broader perspective makes it possible to understand how the different stages fit together, anticipate the constraints of each venue and coordinate technical resources according to the festival’s overall schedule.

Requirements naturally vary from one location to another: venue layouts, equipment positioning, access restrictions, load-in and load-out schedules, artist requirements and operating conditions all need to be considered. A global approach takes these factors into account from the outset, rather than addressing them independently for each event.

It also streamlines communication between the production team and the technical crew. Information is shared more efficiently, decisions follow a consistent approach and potential adjustments can be anticipated as the festival progresses.

Continuity, Coordination and Resource Optimisation

Technical continuity is one of the key benefits of having a single partner throughout a multi-day festival. With a consistent point of contact and a dedicated technical team, the production benefits from shared knowledge of the project, its requirements and its constraints. This continuity reduces the risk of information being lost, makes changes easier to manage and helps maintain a consistent level of quality despite the variety of venues and event formats.

It also creates opportunities to optimise resources. When all dates are considered during the initial planning stage, equipment, staffing and working schedules can be organised at festival level. This makes it easier to identify synergies between events, coordinate installation and dismantling operations, and avoid unnecessary duplication where the configuration allows.

The aim is not to reduce resources at the expense of the result. It is to deploy the right resources at the right time, while respecting the artistic ambitions and operational constraints of each venue.

A More Seamless Experience for Event Producers

A successful festival depends on many different contributors: organisers, artists, venues, technical suppliers, production teams and partners. Technical operations need to integrate smoothly into this wider organisation rather than add to its complexity. For event producers, having a partner who can take a step back and oversee the entire technical setup provides valuable reassurance. A single point of contact simplifies preparation, centralises technical discussions and gives the production team a clearer overview of the project, from initial planning through to the final on-site operations.

This is the approach iDzia brings to its work with cultural events: combining an understanding of project requirements with advance planning, team coordination and the flexibility to respond to real-world conditions.

iDzia, Technical Partner for Cultural Events

Based in Arles, Provence, iDzia supports festivals and cultural events with technical solutions tailored to their venues, programmes and objectives.

Résonance Festival illustrates the value of a coordinated, global approach. Beyond the equipment itself and its installation, a consistent technical setup, clear communication and careful anticipation all contribute directly to the smooth running of an event.

For a festival spread over several days and locations, choosing a single technical provider is therefore more than a practical decision. It means working with a partner who shares the project’s overall vision, supports its development and helps make the organisation more straightforward.

Thank you to the Résonance Festival team for their continued trust, and to all the artists and teams involved in this edition.
