During the Féria du Cheval, Saintes Maries de la Mer becomes a meeting place for the equestrian arts, where the horse is celebrated like a god. The Féria du Cheval 2023 will take place this year from 13 to 16 July. This festival has been running for over 20 years and brings together all aficionados of the horse, the bull and gypsy music, the 3 essential pillars of the identity of Les Saintes and Camargue culture. They are the inspiration behind all the performances at this Féria du Cheval.
Dressage, acrobatics, equestrian shows follow one another in the arenas with the most prestigious artists and riders of the moment. The streets and squares of the village are also part of the festivities, with parades, equestrian competitions, demonstrations and flamenco nights! The festivities will also be duplicated in the Méjanes bullring on 14 July for the famous Rejon d'Or, pitting rejón stars such as Pablo Hermoso de Mendoza, his son Guillermo and Lea Vicens against 6 San Pelayo.
