▪️ iDzia Installation: the sound and the light
iDzia’s expertise in service of live event production
For the past four years, Les Baux Pianos Festival has been bringing the Carrières des Lumières to life with jazz and world music. On June 27 and 28, iDzia handled the sound and lighting production for the 2026 edition, putting its technical expertise at the heart of this Provençal event’s success.
Two Days of Concerts in Les Baux-de-Provence
Created in 2023 at the initiative of pianist and composer André Manoukian, this musical event takes place in Les Baux-de-Provence, listed among the Most Beautiful Villages of France. After its inaugural edition, held on the esplanade of the Les Baux-de-Provence's Castle, the festival moved to the Carrières des Lumières, a former limestone quarry that has now become a world-renowned venue for immersive art.
In this space, music resonates in a unique way. The artistic director invites artists from around the world to create a dialogue between jazz and various cultural heritages, in a setting where white stone and light become integral parts of the performance.
A weekend shaped by the convergence of musical worlds
This fourth edition offered a melodic journey through various musical repertoires:
On Saturday, the audience discovered the Daisy Marguerite 4tet, led by the voice of the young jazz singer Daisy Marguerite, before enjoying a performance by the Alfredo Rodríguez Trio, featuring Cuban pianist Alfredo Rodríguez;
On Sunday, the spotlight turned to the Parveen & Ilyas Khan duo, blending traditional Indian and Rajasthani music, before the festival closed with André Manoukian and his quartet project La Sultane, a creation blending jazz and Eastern influences.
iDzia, a partner of the Les Baux Pianos Festival
As with the two previous editions, iDzia managed the festival’s live event production, including sound and stage lighting. In this spacious venue, every technical detail is carefully designed to control natural reverberation and ensure precise sound distribution, while enhancing the visual identity of the Carrières des Lumières with tailored lighting.
Thanks to the experience gained through previous collaborations with the Carrières des Lumières, our technical team has mastered the unique challenges of this venue, enabling us to create an experience where sound and light harmonize perfectly with the musicians’ performances.
