▪️ Installation iDzia : Le son, le traitement acoustique
The École Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie (ENSP) in Arles is currently the only public institution in France entirely dedicated to the teaching, research, and experimentation of photography. Founded in 1982 by Lucien Clergue, Maryse Cordesse, and Alain Desvergnes, the ENSP has established itself over the decades as a center of excellence for training visual artists and authors. Its mission is to educate professionals who are capable of questioning and redefining contemporary image-making practices.
Since 2020, the school has been housed in a new 5,000 m² building designed by architect Marc Barani. This exceptional site, located in the heart of Arles, combines state-of-the-art educational and technical facilities with publicly accessible spaces that encourage dialogue between artistic creation and society. These include a 450 m² exhibition hall, a 185-seat auditorium, a library with over 30,000 publications, and a Fablab dedicated to digital creation.
The ENSP offers a wide range of training programs, including a degree-granting initial course, a doctoral program in creative practice in partnership with Aix-Marseille University, and numerous continuing education options, mentoring programs, and workshops for amateurs. It also plays an active role in visual literacy initiatives, collaborating with major cultural institutions such as the Jeu de Paume, LE BAL, and the Rencontres d’Arles.
In this demanding and creative environment, iDzia has brought its expertise in audiovisual integration. Our approach is based on a careful balance of technical performance, aesthetic sensitivity, and user-friendly design. We offer professional solutions in lighting, sound, video, and structural elements, selected from the most reputable brands in the industry. Each project is tailored to the specific needs of the space, its users, and its identity.
At the ENSP, we implemented discreet, nearly invisible technology that recedes into the background, enhancing visual and acoustic comfort while preserving the atmosphere of the space. The result is a harmonious and fluid environment, perfectly suited to the school's artistic and educational goals.
Through projects like the one at ENSP, iDzia demonstrates its ability to support cultural institutions with custom-made solutions, placing innovation at the service of contemporary creation and the subtle interplay between technology and artistic expression.
