📍Chapelle du Méjean, Arles ▪️ Installation iDzia : the sound, acoustic design Jazz in Arles - 2022 We are delighted to have once again collaborated with the Association du Méjean  for the 26th edition of Jazz in Arles . For several years, this association has trusted us to support this major event in the city's musical landscape. The festival, true to its reputation, offers a bold and eclectic program, skillfully blending young jazz prodigies with internationally renowned musicians. The 2022 edition of Jazz in Arles  once again provided a unique musical experience, and we were thrilled to handle the sound  installation and acoustic design  in the exceptional Chapelle du Méjean , an iconic venue in the city of Arles. This unique setting, both intimate and rich in history, allows for a truly special way to experience music—almost spiritual. The acoustical richness of this space required a technical installation worthy of the event to ensure optimal sound distribution and flawless listening quality for every concert. To achieve this, we worked with state-of-the-art equipment, including Midas consoles  and Fohhn Audio  sound systems, allowing for faithful sound reproduction throughout the chapel while respecting the sacred dimension of the venue and the intensity of the musical performances. The acoustic design was specifically created to address the challenges of a space with a unique volume, resulting in perfect acoustics where every jazz note, every musical nuance, was clearly audible with stunning clarity. Jazz in Arles  is more than just a festival; it's a true cultural gathering that unites music lovers around an eclectic program, ranging from traditional jazz to more contemporary genres. We had the honor of supporting this prestigious event with a full technical installation, including sound, lighting, video projection, and structure, in collaboration with iDzia . This summit, dedicated to innovations and new perspectives in marketing, brought together experts, industry leaders, and trendsetters who shared their ideas and visions for the future. The technical installation provided by iDzia  played a key role in the atmosphere of the event. We carefully orchestrated the lighting and video projections to create an immersive and dynamic ambiance while ensuring top-notch sound quality for every moment of the program. The unique setting of the Grande Halle , an iconic venue of the Luma Foundation, was enhanced by a modern and minimalist scenography, where every detail was designed to support the visual and auditory experience of the attendees. 📍 Théâtre Antique, Arles ▪️ Installation iDzia : the sound, the video, the projection MoPA, Films projection - 2022 The Ancient Theatre of Arles  once again served as the magical venue that hosted an exceptional program in 2022. This year, we had the privilege of partnering with MoPA  (School of Animation Cinema Professions) to present their animation films, an event that has become a must-see for the Arlesian public. For several years now, iDzia has been a trusted partner of the school, and we are always proud to support and introduce these stunning creations made by the students. The screenings, held in the iconic setting of the Ancient Theatre, were enhanced by the technical installation provided by iDzia, combining sound, video, and projection with great precision. Each film shown was able to fully reveal the richness of contemporary animation, supported by an immersive soundtrack and high-quality video projections. We ensured that every technical detail harmonized with the magic of the venue and the energy of the works presented. The evening was a true celebration of the art of animation. The films, each carrying a unique and personal vision, transported the audience into diverse worlds, from fantastical imaginary realms to more introspective reflections on our modern world. The students of MoPA, through their talents and creativity, succeeded in capturing the very essence of animation, playing with shapes, colors, and sounds to create captivating and emotional visual stories. From the very first moments, guests were immersed in a magical ambiance, where every detail seemed to be carefully thought out to elevate this unique event. The expertise of the iDzia team, specializing in sound and lighting installations, transformed the venue into a true fairytale setting. On the last Friday of June, the venue opened its doors to a memorable guinguette night that will stay in everyone’s mind. From the very first moments of the evening, the atmosphere was filled with festivity, vibrancy, and camaraderie. The event was not just a party but a true celebration of friendship, family, and the joy of being together. It was a time of dancing, singing, and laughing, with everyone fully immersed in the fun. Guests were welcomed by a warm and inviting ambiance, with soft lighting and iDzia’s sound installations  perfectly enveloping the venue, creating a magical environment. The light displays highlighted the stunning outdoor spaces of Mas de Valériole, adding an enchanting touch to the evening. The subtle soundscapes  and dynamic lighting contributed to turning the evening into a visually and sonically immersive experience, with every detail carefully designed to ensure an unforgettable atmosphere. The night began with a captivating live concert that swept guests into a musical whirlwind. The played pieces immediately created a festive vibe, where everyone was carried away by the infectious rhythms. But that wasn’t all! Food trucks also played an essential part in this celebration. Guests were treated to a delicious variety of dishes, from savory meals to sweet treats, in a laid-back and friendly atmosphere. Local wine added a refined touch to the evening, allowing everyone to enjoy regional specialties in a relaxed setting. 📍Théâtre Antique, Arles ▪️ iDzia installation : the sound, the light Michel FAU, "Georges Dandin" The Ensemble Marguerite Louise , conducted by Gaétan Jarry , is here in perfect harmony with the actors directed by Michel Fau , who also plays the role of George Dandin . This production of George Dandin , a comedy by Molière, takes a unique turn under the direction of Michel Fau, a comic actor and opera director known for his bold stage productions where the line between laughter and unease is often thin. In this version, Fau brings out the darkness and absurdity hidden beneath the apparent lightness of the play. The character of Dandin, although comical in his role as a deceived bourgeois, becomes here an unsettling figure, symbolizing the illusion of a world where social satire flirts with anxiety. Michel Fau, true to his style, does not hesitate to accentuate the contrasts between the grotesque and the tragic. In his staging, laughter is never far from vertigo, and the actors constantly oscillate between exuberance and anxiety. The interactions between the characters take on a particular intensity, especially as they are enhanced by Fau's masterful performance in the leading role. The ambiguity of Dandin's character, between the ridiculous and the pathetic, finds a deep resonance in the atmosphere created by the staging, where comedy turns into something darker. The baroque aesthetic, carefully chosen for this production, underscores the richness and complexity of the characters. This concert, featuring two iconic figures of contemporary music, Ibrahim Maalouf  and Sofiane Pamart , attracted a large audience eager to experience an exceptional sonic and visual experience. These two artists, at the crossroads of genres, delivered a performance of rare intensity, captivating the audience with their masterful compositions. The setting of the Arles Amphitheater , a historic monument rich in history, added an extra dimension to the event. The combination of this emblematic venue and the technical expertise of iDzia  created an immersive atmosphere that enhanced the performance. iDzia  was responsible for the sound and lighting management, installing high-quality equipment to ensure an unforgettable experience for the spectators. For this concert, the sound was beautifully orchestrated thanks to cutting-edge technologies from d&b audiotechnik , Yamaha Pro Audio , and DiGiCo . These systems ensured perfect sound distribution, making every note clear and precise while providing even sound coverage throughout the entire Amphitheater. The audience was able to enjoy an exceptional auditory experience where every musical detail was highlighted. The lighting installation, on the other hand, was designed to accompany and enhance the energy of the musical performance. Using MA Lighting , Varilite , Robe Lighting , and Martin Lighting  technologies, spectacular light effects were created, transforming the Amphitheater into a true theater of light. The lighting effects interacted with the music, offering magical visual moments that beautifully complemented the sonic atmosphere. Finally, MDG Fog  added an additional dimension to the event, creating fog and light effects that immersed the spectators in a complete sensory experience. Sky HOPINKA: maɬni – towards the ocean, towards the shore 📍La Grande Halle, Luma Foundation, Arles ▪️ iDzia installation : the sound, the structure Sky HOPINKA: "maɬni – towards the ocean, towards the shore" maɬni – towards the ocean, towards the shore  is an experimental and poetic documentary by Sky Hopinka, following two young Indigenous people from the Pacific Northwest, Sweetwater Sahme and Jordan Mercier. Through their voices, in both English and Chinuk Wawa, they share their reflections and questions about their American life in relation to their Indigenous identity. The film offers a sensitive exploration of contemporary Native American life, addressing themes of identity, belonging, and cultural memory. This contemplative and meditative film is structured around a slow and calming rhythm, inspired by the natural elements present in the protagonists' world, especially water. Each image and sound is carefully arranged to convey the deep connection between the characters and nature, while also echoing the Chinook myths about the cycles of life and death. These ancient stories resonate with the daily lives of the young people, highlighting the importance of passing down knowledge and values, as well as the profound bond between humanity and the land. Sky Hopinka’s work is a visual and auditory meditation, inviting us to reflect on the place of Indigenous culture in the modern world, while questioning the tensions between integration into American society and the preservation of cultural roots. The beauty of the film lies in its ability to capture this reflection in an intimate and poetic way, while honoring the richness and depth of Indigenous heritage. Wu TSANG, Moby Dick; or, The Whale 📍La Grande Halle, Luma Foundation, Arles ▪️ iDzia installation : the sound, the structure Wu TSANG, "Moby Dick; or, The Whale" Moby Dick; or, The Whale  by Wu Tsang is a captivating work that reinvents the classic by Herman Melville. Through an audacious musical arrangement, the film invites the viewer into a deep visual and auditory immersion, exploring themes of racism, authority, cosmopolitanism, communitarianism, seduction, and queer culture. The strength of this work lies in its ability to revisit a legendary novel from a radically contemporary perspective, transforming the story of Captain Ahab’s obsessive quest into a reflection on power dynamics, identity, and belonging. The film, co-produced by prestigious institutions such as Schauspielhaus Zürich , LUMA Foundation , Superblue , TBA21–Academy , HARTWIG ART FOUNDATION , The Shed , and The Whitney Museum of American Art , is a multidimensional creation that spans across various artistic mediums. The interaction between sound, light, and video plays a central role in this work, providing an immersive experience that challenges the boundaries of traditional storytelling. Wu Tsang’s work does not simply tell a story; it explores its depths, introducing a sensory dimension that allows the viewer to experience a complex emotional and intellectual journey. In collaboration with iDzia , the Luma Foundation provided technical support for the installation of this monumental work, setting up a high-quality audiovisual setup. iDzia  ensured the installation of sound and structure, helping create an environment conducive to an immersive experience of the work.
