▪️  Installation iDzia: the sound, the light

From ancient arenas to inflatable challenges

Since 2025, the Roman amphitheater in Arles has been changing its face by becoming an arena dedicated to inflatable games and challenges. On 20 July, iDzia took over the sound and light show management of the second edition of Choc des Arènes (The Clash of the Arenas), putting its technical know-how at the service of a family event combining competition, fun and conviviality.

The Arlesienne version of the game show

Imagined by Ludi Arles Organisation, the Clash of the Arenas takes up the codes of the famous French TV show Intervilles, which has marked the summers of several generations. On the track of the Arles Amphiteatre, two cities competed through a series of inflatable games and challenges inspired by the original format. Thus, about twenty participants representing their commune embarked on events where agility, courage and sense of humor often took precedence over the sporting performance alone.

A new victorious edition

After a first edition in 2025 that saw Arles and Nîmes face off, with a victory for the inhabitants of Nimes, this second edition pitted the Arlésiens against the Lunellois. On the Arles side, former football international Gaël Givet took over the captain’s armband, while rugby player Richard Guillermet led Lunel’s team.

At the microphone, Anouar and Mojales Balti provided the animation, with DJ Cédric Buche at the turntables. At the end of a colorful evening, Arles won against Lunel on the score of 9 to 4, taking revenge after the defeat last year.

iDzia on the track for the show management

iDzia has once again taken over the entire sound and light system of the Arena, ensuring a clear sound diffusion for the animation and music, as well as dynamic lighting adapted to the events.

After having accompanied the very first edition of the Choc des Arènes the previous year, our technical team already knows the specificities of the event, where each setting must deal with the acoustics in the open air and the frantic rhythm of a competition. This fidelity to the format allows us to refine our technical approach year after year, for an ever more exceptional experience at the service of both teams and the public.
