On June 6th, a truly exceptional corporate anniversary took place in the enchanting surroundings of the Carrières des Lumières, a venue where history and art beautifully converge. This unique setting was the backdrop for an unforgettable evening celebrating the 60th anniversary of Emile Garcin, a prestigious real estate agency. The event not only marked six decades of success but also paid tribute to the agency's remarkable legacy in the luxury real estate market. The Carrières des Lumières, once white limestone quarries used in the construction of the Baux castle and surrounding city, have become a mythical location. Closed in 1935, the site was largely abandoned before being brought back to life by Jean Cocteau. In 1959, captivated by the raw beauty of the place and its breathtaking natural surroundings, he decided to film scenes for his movie Le Testament d'Orphée  there. This artistic vision contributed to transforming the Carrières des Lumières into an iconic site in the region. This exceptional seminar, held in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, gathered 140 members of the Emile Garcin family, all united to mark six decades of history and success. Since its founding, the agency has established itself as a leader in the luxury real estate market, and this anniversary was an opportunity to pay tribute to this remarkable journey. The event not only celebrated the agency’s history but also honored the dedication and passion of its employees, who continue to carry the brand forward through the generations. The Carrières des Lumières, located in Les Baux-de-Provence, served as the majestic setting for this evening. Screening of MoPA student films 📍 Antique Theater, Arles ▪️ iDzia installation : Sound MoPA, Films projection - 2023 The screening of the MoPA students’ films, organized annually by the MoPA animation film school, is one of the most highly anticipated events of the year. This prestigious event takes place at the Théâtre Antique in Arles, a historic venue with deep cultural significance. The evening brings together the MoPA community — students, teachers, guest speakers, and families — along with the people of Arles who eagerly await this occasion. On June 24, 2023, the audience had the privilege of watching a selection of films created by the students throughout their academic journey. The films showcased work from different years of study, with a particular focus on the graduation films. The five films from the class of 2020, including Dear Forest , Carried Away , Les Chaussures de Louis , Beyond the Trees , and Feeling Blue , captivated the audience. These films were followed by three films from the class of 2021, demonstrating the diversity and creative growth of the students. The films, each unique in style and storytelling approach, highlighted an impressive level of talent and technical mastery, even though the filmmakers are still in their formative years. For the students, seeing their work projected in front of such a large and enthusiastic audience was an incredibly special and emotional moment. It marked the culmination of years of hard work, artistic development, and creative exploration. This event gave the students an opportunity to share their films with the public and celebrate their journey, allowing them to showcase how much they had evolved throughout their studies. La Collective Arles , Concert by Barbara Pravi 📍 Chapelle du Méjan, Arles ▪️iDzia setup : Sound Concert by Barbara Pravi On May 24, 2023, just a few weeks after the end of her On N’enferme Pas Les Oiseaux  tour, Barbara Pravi performed in Arles for an intimate and unique concert at the Chapelle du Méjan, a place steeped in history and heritage. In this special setting, the singer offered her audience a magical and emotional evening, full of poetry and warmth, in the heart of Arles. It was a privileged moment where the artist shared songs filled with sincerity and passion, creating a cozy and personal atmosphere for her fans. This event was organized by La Collective, a support and solidarity space for young girls and women in the region. La Collective, which opened its doors in September, serves as a place for listening, therapeutic support, as well as a space for meetings and exchanges. It is aimed at women who wish to receive help, whether psychological or social, and who seek to build connections with other women sharing similar aspirations. The mission of La Collective is to contribute to the creation of a more just and equal society by providing a safe space where each woman can express herself and heal. At La Collective, women can benefit from a wide range of activities. Each week, between 30 and 50 women participate in socio-esthetic workshops, self-defense classes, sewing, or writing. Psychological support consultations are also offered, as well as listening sessions and parent/baby drop-in times. It is a place where each woman can seek comfort, advice, or simply have a moment for herself. For this particular concert by Barbara Pravi, the IDzia team was responsible for the sound installation. Due to the unique acoustics of the Chapelle du Méjan, it was crucial to create an optimal sound environment to enhance the artist's performance while respecting the intimacy and beauty of the venue. This wedding was an extraordinary event, marked by a fairy-tale atmosphere in a unique setting. The Carrières des Lumières, known for their breathtaking beauty, are white limestone quarries that were once used in the construction of the castle and the town of Les Baux. After their closure in 1935, the site was partly abandoned. However, in 1959, the famous filmmaker Jean Cocteau, captivated by the grandeur and atmosphere of the place, chose to film sequences for his movie Le Testament d'Orphée  within these very quarries. Today, the Carrières des Lumières is a world-renowned digital art center that hosts immersive exhibitions attracting visitors from around the world. This festival marked a significant moment for the local music scene, offering an exciting night for electronic music enthusiasts and those passionate about discovering new talent. The event featured a lineup of nine DJ sets, showcasing a mix of emerging talents and a few special guest performers. Throughout the night, the festival provided a diverse musical experience that captivated the audience from start to finish. Beyond the music, Mixlab in Fest  emphasized the spirit of community and togetherness, with food trucks offering a wide range of delicious dishes, as well as a large bar area where festival-goers could socialize and unwind. Additionally, a second-hand clothing market was set up on-site, allowing attendees to find unique pieces and express their individual style through vintage fashion. The iDzia team was proud to contribute to this event by providing the technical installation for sound, lighting, and structure. To ensure a top-quality experience for the festival-goers, special attention was given to the acoustics of the venue. 📍Fondation Luma, Arles ▪️ iDzia setup : sound, light Bouchra Khalili : The Circle & The Tempest Society The Luma Foundation in Arles recently hosted the Bouchra Khalili: The Circle & The Tempest Society  exhibition, a significant event offering a visual and auditory immersion into the complex and committed universe of the artist. Bouchra Khalili's work, which questions historical narratives and silenced voices, is distinguished by her use of video and film, which occupy a central role in her artistic approach. The question she raises is poignant and deep: "What remains to tell the suppressed stories when archives do not exist?" This inquiry resonates with the urgency of preserving marginalized narratives and voices erased by official history. Through her works, Khalili creates both personal and collective stories, where history unfolds in fragments. These fragments, drawn from oral histories, testimonies, texts, photographs, and moving images, help weave connections between the past and the present, questioning how historical events are represented and understood. The film and video projections, at the heart of this exhibition, allowed visitors to dive into an immersive experience. Khalili’s works offer a blend of visual and auditory storytelling, inviting reflection on history, memory, and identity. This unique evening offers an immersive photographic experience, inviting participants to dive into the world of contemporary photography through the projection of over forty photographic projects. These works are projected all night on four giant screens set up in different areas of the Papeteries, providing a complete immersion into the visual world of the artists. The Night of the Year  is an opportunity for the public to discover a selection of photographic projects from around the world, exploring a wide range of themes and styles. Each project tells a story, explores a particular theme, or offers a unique vision of the world. The diversity of the works allows every viewer to experience something new, with each image transforming into an invitation for reflection and escape. This is not just a simple screening event; it is a true sensory journey into the heart of the image and photographic art. For this edition, our iDzia team was once again called upon to support this exceptional event by handling the technical installation of sound, lighting, and video. The scale of this event required careful planning and thoughtful implementation to ensure a smooth and immersive experience for the spectators. Held at the Mas de Valériole, an enchanting venue nestled in the heart of the Camargue vineyards, the evening blended warmth and festivity, creating a unique and friendly atmosphere. The Soirée Canon  has become a key gathering for both locals and visitors from across the region. The event offered a light and cheerful guinguette ambiance, with large communal tables where guests could gather and share meals in a relaxed and convivial setting. An ephemeral village was set up for the occasion, offering an immersive and festive experience, complete with food trucks serving a variety of delicious dishes. These food trucks not only delighted the taste buds but also added to the charm of the evening, allowing guests to enjoy flavorful meals while immersed in a lively atmosphere. The concerts were one of the highlights of this memorable evening. Live performances energized the event, with music that encouraged guests to dance and sing late into the night. The outdoor music performances, set against the stunning backdrop of Mas de Valériole, provided a true sensory experience, combining the beauty of the Camargue landscape with the energy of the artists. 📍 Le Méjan, Arles ▪️ iDzia setup : Sound, light Literary Meetings Rue Cambon - La Chapelle du Méjan IDzia a eu le privilège de participer à un événement prestigieux en assurant la technique lors des Rendez-vous Littéraires Rue Cambon, qui se sont déroulés à La Chapelle du Méjan à Arles. Ce projet a été impulsé par Virginie Viard, créatrice de la Maison Chanel, et a rassemblé plusieurs figures emblématiques du monde littéraire, parmi lesquelles Charlotte Casiraghi, ambassadrice de la Maison Chanel. L’événement s’est déroulé dans un cadre à la fois intime et raffiné, parfaitement adapté à l’échange d’idées autour de thèmes littéraires profonds. Les Rendez-vous Littéraires Rue Cambon ont attiré un public passionné, réuni autour du thème de l’émancipation des femmes, un sujet cher aux organisateurs. Le thème a été exploré à travers les œuvres des autrices invitées, mais aussi en évoquant les figures littéraires et culturelles qui ont marqué l’histoire de la lutte pour les droits des femmes. L’événement a permis aux participants de découvrir des réflexions sur la condition féminine, en s’appuyant sur des créations artistiques puissantes et inspirantes. La Chapelle du Méjan, avec son architecture historique et son atmosphère unique, s’est imposée comme un lieu parfait pour cet événement. Notre équipe chez iDzia a joué un rôle clé en garantissant une expérience immersive pour le public, en prenant en charge le son, la lumière et l'installation technique du lieu.
